I'm guessing that there are two drivers that are needed for this adapter since I can't get this one to go away (uninstalling the device causes it to come right back, so it is either misrecognized by Windows or i'm still missing a driver).Īs a side note, the Intel Update Utility keeps showing an update for my chipset (I think it is either HM55 or HM65, unsure), so I don't know if that is related to this problem or not.

The driver update utility located the device and said that it installed successfully, and I see that under Network Adapters there is an Advanced-N 6250 AGN adapter installed (see screenshot).

I've tried downloading the drivers from ASUS directly as well as using the Intel Driver Update utility. I have most of the drivers installed for this system except for the wireless driver and two other nagging problems related to the chipset and a USB 3.0 port.
